Twist the handle to unscrew the head counter-clockwise. Remove the bottom plate and insert the blade (be careful blades are sharp). Replace the bottom plate. Note, you'll see the ribbed lines facing upward, if the ribs are facing down switch it. Reattach the handle, making sure it's tight, and shave away.

My first safety razor and it couldn't be better!

I've been wanting to switch to a safety razor for a few months now. Saving money, being more sustainable, you get the reasons why to switch. I finally made the purchase to get this razor and wow. Legit one of the nicest shaves of my life. Safety razors can be intimidating, especially with replacing the blades. But as long as you are careful and take care of your razor, it is totally worth the switch. The shave I get is so close and smooth - oh and I got the pink razor which makes it more fun to use! If you are debating on whether or not to switch to a safety razor - DO IT. Totally worth it.

An alternative to disposable razors

Good weight, easy to clean, the textured handle is a lifesaver when your hands are wet and slippery. There is a learning curve; shaving takes a tad longer. I am glad to not be contributing as much plastic waste to the landfill. Blades are cheaper and sharper too.

Loving it so far.

This is my first de safety razor, and I've only shaved with it 5 or 6 times, but so far this product is fantastic. Shaving has always irritated my face terribly but that seems to be a thing of the past. I was really happy to find a razor made in Baltimore and even happier that it turned out to be such a nice product.
